About the Role

The position is a summer temporary job, so we hope you are available for work between weeks 25-33. Securitas will assign you a schedule so you can plan your summer with both work and enjoyable activities in advance! Whether you want to work day or night, in a fast-paced or calm environment, Securitas has the job for you.

Working as a guard is perfect for those who enjoy working with people and helping them in their daily lives. As a guard at our office in Falun, you will be part of a close-knit team of 60 colleagues. The length of shifts varies, but they are often 12-hour shifts either day or night. The schedule also includes work on weekends.

As a patrolling guard, you are responsible for performing security checks at multiple clients during your shift. You will travel between clients by car and conduct various types of inspections, including area surveillance, patrolling inside premises, alarm connections, and closures for clients. In this role, it is important to document your work and any discrepancies you encounter. The work is independent and often perceived as free, but with a great deal of responsibility. The role of a patrolling guard suits you if you want a position where you can stay active. The working hours are mainly at night.

Requirements

To be able to work in this role, you must have passing grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school, as this is a formal requirement for employment. Furthermore, a B driver's license is necessary as the job largely involves using a car in service.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience in similar tasks. Civil or military security guard training is also seen as a benefit and gives you good conditions to quickly adapt to the role.

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have passing grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Law (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legal compliance, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
